Thank God for Good People

I am beyond thrilled to be able to tell folks that our family – Henry – now has official legal representation for the civil litigation we need to bring against the people whose actions caused Henry’s death, as well as to address potential institutional failures in the investigation itself. As I noted in a blog post here last week, I had pretty much given up on finding any way to make this happen, but now,two young East TN lawyers (I will share their names as soon as I double check that it’s okay with them) who are personally and professionally appalled by what happened to my child, and by the way his case has been handled by authorities have stepped up to help.

This truly isn’t about money for these guys, but about fairness, decency and ensuring a safer Knox County for everyone’s teenagers.

Thank God for Good People.

I’m so proud of you for being such a diligent advocate for Henry, and of these two lawyers who are representing you! Lawyers get such a bad rap, but a law degree is like the Force – it can be used for good or for evil. Thank goodness for people like those two!

Good for you. I think you have a strong case against both institutions and persons involved in what happened to Henry. As the case is documented, it might give the lazy police enough fodder to pursue a criminal case. Clearly as things stand right now, they do not have what they feel is sufficient evidence and are not willing to do the work to come up with it. A shame you have to do their work.

    YAY!

You know, after reading all your updates on this….I just can’t believe nobody has gone after the lowlifes who poisoned your kid by lying to him about the safe dose of the drugs they gave him.

You go, lady. I have no children myself, but I don’t think what you’ve written here is only mom-specific, more of a human rights thing. Maybe you’ll help some other family somewhere get justice in the future. We’ve got our fingers crossed for you in Nashville.

  41. LogicalMama says:

So glad to hear this for you and your family, and mostly, for Henry!
